Well, I know I haven't written in a while. But, now I'm back at school. I'm so excited that I no longer have to live in the dorms. Even though they weren't too bad, I really like my townhouse and my roommates. I have a feeling that this year is going to fly by. It is nice that when I want to talk to the girls, I can just go down stairs.

Well, the York Fair is soon coming up, so I'm looking forward to that. Plus, I'm going to see Brad Paisly and I'm really looking forward to that.

Well, I guess that's all for now. Classes start tomorrow, so that means more studying and more papers. Oh joy!

Hearland~ I Loved Her First

Look at the two of you dancing that way
Lost in the moment and each others face
So much in love your alone in this place
Like there's nobody else in the world
I was enough for her not long ago
I was her number one
She told me so
And she still means the world to me
Just so you know
So be careful when you hold my girl
Time changes everything
Life must go on
And I'm not gonna stand in your way

But I loved her first and I held her first
And a place in my heart will always be hers
From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
And I prayed that she'd find you someday
But it still hard to give her away
I loved her first

How could that beautiful women with you
Be the same freckle face kid that I knew
The one that I read all those fairy tales to
And tucked into bed all those nights
And I knew the first time I saw you with her
It was only a matter of time

But I loved her first and I held her first
And a place in my heart will always be hers
From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
And I prayed that she'd find you someday
But its still hard to give her away
I loved her first

From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
Someday you might know what I'm going through
When a miracle smiles up at you
I loved her first

Wow, I can't believe that it is already July and the summer is flying by! Well, I do have some bad news about my one cow. My Sexy Lexy died earlier this week.  But, growing up with animals, it is just something that you have to learn to get used to.

On the other hand, I've been working a lot over the summer. But, somehow I find time to hang out with Josh and ride. I can't believe that Josh and I have been dating now for over three months. Boy, time sure does goes fast. Who would have guess? Anyway, I have been riding Rudy any chance I can get. Well, I guess that is all for now. Not too much to talk about. I'm going down to Fawn Grove Old Time Days to sell milk shakes and watch Josh pull his tractors.

Well, I hope everyone is having a great summer and sorry I don't update too often.

Terri

To My Dear Horse: Rudy

From day to day and year to year
It's you that makes me whole
The pounding of your hooves
Sparks magic in my soul.

Who could match out joy?
None would be so bold
As we canter through the meadows
In a dance of ages old.

You were a gift from Heaven
On Earth you give me wings
And even Angel envy
The joy such freedom brings

We will travel the world over
And track the rainbow to it's end
We will find out pot of Gold
And continue 'round the bend.

Our Gold may come as trophies
Or ribbons flashing blue
But these things matter little
My Treasure lies in You.

Well, I got my grades back and I made the Dean's List!! First time ever and I hope it will happen in the future. So, I've been home almost two weeks now and am enjoying my summer. I'm putting in a lot of hours at the tack shop and here at home on the farm. But, I don't mind it one bit because I'm enjoying what I'm doing.

I guess for the rest of the summer I'll still be working but hopefully having some fun. I'm planning on going to see Josh at his tractor pulls and helping him out at the fire hall. Hopefully at some point during the summer I can take Kelly over to MU to see my apartment for the next few years and to help me orginaze it a bit. And of course, I will be going a couple horse shows to see my sister and my big boy. If luck is on my side, I might be able to drag Josh to one or two. Oh, I can't forget about riding Rudy boy! This summer, my goal is to teach him to barrel race and pole bend. He is such a blast and I'm glad that I have a horse I can full around with.

Well, I guess that is all for now and I'm looking forward to having three months off, working riding and spending time with family, friends and Josh.

So looking forward for this week to be over already!! I had one final today, but I still have 4 more to go. I do believe that all of this studying is going to kill me. But, hopefully I can get through it. Needless to say, I'm really looking forward to this weekend. Plus, all of my friends are leaving either Wednesday. night or Thursday morning, so I won't have anyone to watch CSI with this week. At least next Thursday I will be home to watch it with my mother. Still can't believe that I'm almost done my first year of college. Boy did the time fly! Lets just hope that I can get through this week so I can enjoy my summer. So looking forward to working at Abbie's and at the farm and of course riding and hanging out with Josh.

~Terri~
